One millilitre, twice a day. That is the entire method, and the only hard part is not skipping it.

Start on dry hair and a dry scalp — minoxidil spreads badly on wet hair.
Part your hair to expose the thinning area.
Fill the dropper to the 1 ml mark.
Apply onto the scalp itself, not the hair, across the whole area you are treating.
Spread it evenly with a fingertip.
Wash your hands straight away.
Let it dry, roughly two to four hours, before bed or styling.

Use 1 ml twice a day whether the area is small or large. Going above 2 ml a day does not speed anything up.

For a first month specifically:

Pin it to something you already do — most people use brushing their teeth.
Take a photo of the top of your head in the same light on day one. In three months you will want it, and you will not be able to go back and take it.

Propylene glycol carries the minoxidil into the scalp. It is also the usual culprit behind the dry, itchy scalp some men get early on. If that is you, the foam versions leave it out.

Will one month be enough to see anything?

My hair is shedding more than before. Should I stop?
