Being honest about who this is for

If your hair is not blonde, grey or silver, this does nothing for you that No.4 does not do better. There is no yellow for the violet to cancel on darker hair, so you would be paying for a toning step you are never going to see.

It is also not a straight replacement for your regular shampoo. Used at every wash on very porous blonde it can leave a visible violet cast, so most people are better off alternating it with No.4 rather than switching over entirely.

Getting the tone right rather than the strongest

The common mistake with a purple shampoo is treating a longer sit as a stronger result. Leaving it on too long is exactly how people end up with a lilac tint they did not ask for. Start short, rinse, and see where the tone lands before you extend it on the next wash.

The scent is the one used across the rest of the No.4 family: grapefruit zest, sugared mint and ginger, and crushed sage.

Wet the hair thoroughly and squeeze out the excess water.
Work a small amount through from roots to ends until it lathers evenly.
Leave it on briefly, watching the tone rather than the clock.
Rinse thoroughly, then follow with No.5P conditioner or your usual conditioner.

Most people use it for one or two washes a week and use No.4 for the rest. Using it at every wash is where a visible violet cast usually comes from.

Two practical notes:

Start with the shortest time you can and extend it on later washes if the tone needs more. Too much violet is far harder to undo than too little.
Very porous blonde takes pigment fastest, so treat it as the shortest case rather than the strongest.
