Olaplex No.5P Blonde Enhancer Toning Conditioner (250ml)

Use it as your conditioner on a toning wash, after No.4P for a stronger result or after your usual shampoo for a lighter one.

1. Shampoo and rinse, using No.4P if you want the stronger tone.
2. Squeeze the water out so your hair is damp rather than dripping.
3. Work No.5P through the mid-lengths and ends, concentrating on the sections that look brassiest.
4. Leave it in while you finish washing, then rinse thoroughly.

Once or twice a week is enough toning for most blonde, silver and grey hair. Use No.5 on the washes in between.

Two practical notes:

• On its own with an ordinary shampoo it gives a lighter tone, and after No.4P a stronger one. Start with the lighter version and work up only if you need to.
• If the tone starts to build up, swap to No.5 for a few washes and come back to this one when the brassiness returns.

No.5P is a conditioning base carrying deep violet pigment. The conditioning side hydrates, smooths and helps strengthen the hair; the pigment is the part that tones.

Free from: sulphates, silicones, phthalates, phosphates, parabens, MIC/MIT and protein. It is colour safe, vegan and safe to use on extensions.

Will No.5P make my hair blonder?

No. It deposits violet tone on the hair, it does not lighten it. If you want to be lighter, that is a colouring or lightening service; this only changes how warm or cool the blonde you already have looks.

Can I use No.4P and No.5P together at every wash?

You can, but for most people that is too much toning. Most blonde, silver and grey hair only needs the pair once or twice a week, with an ordinary shampoo and No.5 on the washes in between. If the tone has already built up, alternate with No.5 until it settles.

Can I use it without No.4P?

Yes. Used with an ordinary shampoo it gives a lighter tone, which is often all that is wanted. Following No.4P with it gives the stronger result.

My hair is dark brown. Is there any point?

Not really. Violet pigment only shows on blonde, silver and grey hair, so on dark hair you would be paying for toning you cannot see. No.5 is the conditioner to buy instead.

Is it safe on coloured hair and extensions?

Yes. It is colour safe, vegan and extension safe, and it is free of sulphates, silicones, phthalates, phosphates, parabens, MIC/MIT and protein.

My hair is starting to look too cool. What now?

Stop toning for a while and use No.5 as your conditioner instead. The pigment fades with normal washing, and you can go back to No.5P when the brassiness returns.
