How to use it
Fill it with your minoxidil lotion, part the hair, place the tip against the scalp, press gently and glide across the area in overlapping passes. Empty any remainder, rinse with warm water and let it dry. The capacity is for convenience across passes, not a bigger dose: use whatever your leaflet specifies, normally 1 ml.

The honest part
- Not better, just bigger: If you are treating a hairline or a small patch, buy the 3 ml. For a small area the extra capacity buys you nothing.
- Capacity is not dosing: Use whatever your product's leaflet specifies, normally 1 ml per application. Measure rather than estimating by feel.
- Lotions only: Foams are applied by hand from their own can. Thick or oily liquids clog the tip.
