Kirkland Signature Minoxidil Lotion 5% for Men - 12 Month Supply

1. Start on dry hair and a dry scalp.
2. Part your hair to expose the thinning area.
3. Fill the dropper to the 1 ml mark.
4. Apply onto the scalp itself, not the hair, across the whole treated area.
5. Spread evenly with a fingertip.
6. Wash your hands straight away.
7. Let it dry, two to four hours, before bed or styling.

Use 1 ml twice a day whatever the size of the area. Above 2 ml a day adds nothing.

Storing a year's worth:

• Keep the unopened bottles at room temperature, out of direct sunlight, and away from heat. A cupboard is fine; a bathroom windowsill is not.
• Leave each bottle sealed until you start it. Check the expiry dates when the box arrives so you can use the earliest first.
• The lotion is flammable while wet, so keep it away from open flame until it has dried.

Propylene glycol carries the minoxidil into the scalp and is the usual cause of the dry or itchy scalp some men get early on. If a year of it does not appeal, the foam versions leave it out.

Will twelve bottles expire before I finish them?

No. Bottles are supplied with well over a year of shelf life remaining, so a 12-month pack is used comfortably within date. Check the dates on arrival and work through the earliest first.

Should I buy this as my first minoxidil purchase?

We would rather you did not. You cannot judge minoxidil before months four to six, so start with the 3 or 6-month pack and come back to this once you know it suits you.

Is a year's supply really better value?

Is it safe, and what are the side effects?

Minoxidil is an approved over-the-counter treatment and is safe when used as directed. Scalp dryness, itching or irritation can occur, mostly early on.
